Belmullet - On Fire Sunset - it's a special time of the day, the fading of light, for some pure romance, for others the doorway to the dark side of life. The time, where we may think about the day that is gone and the day that will come. Or, as an Irish song goes: "I'll put cares off, tomorrow can wait, till this day is done." |

Belmullet - Timetable It's nice to know the exact time of sunset and sunrise for the case, that clouds don't allow to see the sun kissing the ocean. A very useful calendar is offered by Time and Date, worldwide online - information ( and of course Dublin in particular ) about day - and nighttimes. |
Belmullet - Weather Forecast Evening red and morning grey will set the traveller on his way; but evening grey and morning red will bring down rain upon his head. |

Renvyle - Time In the old Celtic calendar the old year dies with sunset on October 31st but the New Year does not start until sunrise on November 1st. The night between sunset and sunrise was a time, when time nor indeed date and place had any meaning. It was a time when past and present and also future came together. A magical moment of non-existence. It shines through every sunset in any place of the world, but for me Ireland has by far the most magical sunsets. And living the day gets a new meaning - like a stone that splashes the water and creates a picture of a second, that will never come again. |

Spanish Point - Footprints One night a man dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. In each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand – one belonging to him and the other to the Lord. When the last scene was flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints and noticed that many times along the path there was only one set of footprints in the sand. He also noted that it happened during the lowest, saddest times in his life. |

Spanish Point - Lonesome? This bothered him and he questioned the Lord: "Lord, you said you would walk beside me all the way. But I noticed that during the most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why, when I needed you most, you deserted me." The Lord replied, "My precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering when you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you. |
Spanish Point - Little Prince's Sunset The Little Prince - Chapter 6 Oh, little prince! Bit by bit I came to understand the secrets of your sad little life. For a long time you had found your only entertainment in the quiet pleasure of looking at the sunset. I learned that new detail on the morning of the fourth day, when you said to me: |

Spanish Point - 44 Sunsets ...you could go straight into the sunset, right from noon. Unfortunately, France is too far away for that. But on your tiny planet, my little prince, all you need do is move your chair a few steps. You can see the day end and the twilight falling whenever you like. |

Spanish Point - Astronaut's View The sun truly "comes up like thunder," and it sets just as fast. Each sunrise and sunset lasts only a few seconds. But in that time you see at least eight different bands of color come and go, from a brilliant red to the brightest and deepest blue. And you see sixteen sunrises and sixteen sunsets every day you're in space. No sunrise or sunset is ever the same. |

Spanish Point - Mastery of Nature Science will never be able to reduce the value of a sunset to arithmetic. Nor can it reduce friendship to formula. Laughter and love, pain and loneliness, the challenge of beauty and truth: these will always surpass the scientific mastery of nature. |

Ross Castle - Evening - Time for storytelling The Weaver's Don and the Giant of the White Hill Before evening a great shower came, and the boy ran for shelter to a large oak-tree. When he got near the tree his foot slipped, the ground opened, and down he went through the earth till he came to another country. When he was in the other country he put on the cloak of darkness and went ahead like a blast of wind, and never stopped till he saw a castle in the distance; and soon he was there. |
